1. Who we are

Handouts is a marketplace for educators to sell course materials — notes, past questions, and similar academic content — that students read inside our app. Access is licensed for reading, not for downloading and redistributing files.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate registration details and keep your credentials secure. Educators are responsible for materials they publish. Readers are responsible for purchases made on their account. We may suspend accounts that abuse the platform or violate these terms.

3. Selling materials

By listing content you confirm you have the rights to sell it. You set your own prices. Handouts charges a flat platform commission on successful sales, shown on our pricing page. Earnings appear in your wallet and may be withdrawn subject to our payout partners’ rules and any applicable holds.

4. Buying & reading

When you buy a material you receive licensed access to read it in Handouts. You may not copy, redistribute, or share access in a way that bypasses the app. Watermarks and session controls exist to protect creators — attempting to strip them or resell access is prohibited.

5. Privacy

We collect account information, purchase records, device and session data needed for authentication and secure reading, and communications you send us. We use this to operate Handouts, prevent abuse, process payments, and improve the product. We do not sell your personal data. Payment details are handled by our payment processors.

6. Data retention & requests

We keep account and transaction records as needed for legal and operational reasons. To request access, correction, or deletion of personal data, contact us via the company page. Some records may be retained where required by law or for fraud prevention.

7. Changes

We may update these terms as Handouts evolves. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above.
